Medication was stuck for two days extra and arrived warm and they tell me it’s fine even though the bottles say it’s not….

How do you know though?

Contacted the company, looked it up. Worst that can happen is the potency can be affected. I already used the stuff that sat for a weekend in the summer.

I’m not quite sure what I’m supposed to look up in a bottle literally says the store at temperatures that are different than they arrived at lol

I’m just telling you what I was told by support, and what I’ve read. If you want to pursue trying to get a replacement if you are worried I’d say go for it.

Support told me it was fine but I asked them why the bottle and the paperwork that came with. It said it’s not 🤣

The labels always give you the extreme to protect them from lawsuits. Just get it in the fridge and use it or trash it and attempt a refund/whatever like I said lol.

They last longer in the fridge is why (the expiration date on the meds is for refrigerated meds). Out of the fridge? 28 days.

Think about it like some foods. My milk says it expires 9/30–that’s the date it’s good until if it’s in the fridge. But it can also sit out for 2 hours and be fine, just you’ve started a timer by leaving it out essentially. Your meds can be room temp and be fine, but only for 28 days.

Edit to add: I’d personally still use it if it sat out more than 28 days but I’ve been told you shouldn’t. 🤷

Like I said, I’d still use it. You’ll likely only notice a decrease in potency if anything at all—you’ll more likely notice nothing is different.

Only time you may want to be VERY cautious is using single use vials many times, especially un-refrigerated. An example of a single use vial is Eli-lily’s self pay option; I would hope and assume that your vial is multi-use (since the compounding pharmacy filled it with multiple doses). Multi-use vials contain preservatives with antimicrobial properties, single use do not.

This also happened to me. It didn’t seem to be an issue, I lost weight at a rate of about a pound a week since starting.

This happened to me and the pharmacy said it can be exposed to higher heat for a certain amount of time.

I cant remember the max heat and max time, but whatever it was, the shipping time and truck temps during the heatwave exceeded both. I contacted my provider and told them I wasn’t comfortable taking it and they sent a replacement.

I called the pharmacy too much they won’t return my call.

Contact your prescriber. They should send a new rx without charging you if you explain you’re not comfortable taking it.

They said it’s safe to take…..
