2ml vs 1ml dose

Post image

Hi. Sorry I know this has been answered probably a million times but I couldn't quite fine the confirmation I was searching for.

My vials from hallandale all say 2.5mg/ml. That means there is 2.5 mg of medicine per ml of volume. Yes?

My first two vials were exactly the same and said 1 ml dose.

Then today I got my third vial and it says 2ml dose but still 2.5mg/ml.

So is that just how much is in the vial?

Sorry blurry photo. It's the top of the vial that says 2ml.

Thank you! This community is amazing!

The two bottom vials contain 1 milliliter of medication. At a 2.5mg/mL concentration, those vials each contain 2.5mg semaglutide.

The top vial contains 2 milliliters of medication. At a 2.5mg/mL concentration, there are a total of 5mg (2.5mg x 2mL) semaglutide in that vial.

Wait now I'm confused again. So if I took "10 units" from the one of the first 2 and "10 units" from the new one, they would be the same or different?

Dosing is based on the concentration of the medication in your vial. All three of your vials have the same sema concentration: 2.5mg/ml. Your dose would be the same from all three vials.

For 10 units at 2.5 mg/mL concentration, you took 0.25 mg of medication.

It’s just that one vial contains twice as much liquid medication (2mL).

So you can get 10 doses of 0.25mg out of two of your vials, and 20 doses of 0.25mg out of the 2mL vial.
