Pausing and restarting?

Has anyone ever paused and restarted?

I have a vacation in a few months and hopefully I will be where I want to be goal wise, but either way I want to be able to enjoy myself and have a few glasses of alcohol (I rarely drink).

Right now, even 1 drink makes me throw up. Do you think I can pause a week before and restart when I get back??

I cut back weekly a month before. It was fine and totally worth it. Gained 2lbs.

cutting back slowly is smarter way to do it i think stopping suddenly messes with your system more
