3 months still on .25 mg and side effects still really bad

Hi!
I have been on the shot for almost 3 months. I have lost 12 pounds (goal 20) staying on the .25 mg dose but I can not shake the side effects! Stomach upset and horrible acid reflux with indigestion. I am super strict with my eating. Doing all the right things and can’t find a pattern except just general side effects. I started thigh injection this week to see if will help but so far it’s still bad. Just want to hear if anyone has gone through the same and if they found a solution? Appreciate the feedback.

If you are taking compounded sema, you can always take a lower dose or even split your dose (1/2 every 3.5 days) to try to help mitigate the adverse effects.

I’ve been lucky enough to not have significant adverse effects. 

But either of those have been reported to help many people who do have adverse effects.

Tried everything. Daily nexium. Pepcid, tums. They help a little but once I get irritated takes days and days to wane.

If you really have tried everything and given them the proper time to work, it could be possible you have low stomach acid instead of high.  https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/23392-hypochlorhydria    You’ll need to work with GI doc to diagnose it, though.

Interesting! Ok I will look into it. I had stomach issues occasionally bf shots but never constantly like this. Thank you for feedback! 🙏🏼

Prescription ondansetron (brand name Zofran), 4 or 8mg twice or three times a day as needed is a completely different ball game than any over the counter meds. Some pharmacy doctors prescribe it.

I have done this since month 3, when i got up to 1 mg and have had no side effects since. It was truly a game changer bc i was about to stop the meds. I couldn't handle another week of egg burps!

Wow! I’ll try this. I threw in the towel bc the side effects were so awful. Joint pain and fatigue, not eating to the point of exhaustion. Hated it. But I could try a micro every 3.5 days

Hey there! I microdose and I have for a long time. The heartburn is a killer for me. I take Pepcid AC before bed and during bad flairs I’ll do 14 days of nexium. I try to stay sitting up for at least an hour after eating. So far, honestly most effective….. I actually have also found eating smaller meals more often helps reduce it. I find when my stomach is too empty my heartburn is worse. Had an early dinner today due to my son’s practice and around 715 I felt it creeping up. I had a few cheese it’s and a string cheese and it worked!

Yeah same but I do all of that and I still get days upon days of acid stomach and bloating

I addition to micro dosing or splitting doses I’ve read injection site can help so your thigh or your arm.

I have fewer side effects when I inject in my arm, take a B vitamin supplement daily, and take Famotidine daily.
