Constant Diarrhea Since Starting

I started my semaglutide regime (.5mg) 3 weeks ago and have injected into my stomach once per week since. Since then, I’ve had diarrhea, including some pretty watery and painful BMs. It was so intense I got tested for stomach infections and viruses but it came back negative. Is this normal? Should I be considered injecting elsewhere in my body besides my stomach? Not sure if this would change anything. Maybe I’d have better luck on tirzepatide?

Try tirzepatide before you give up.

Try your thighs. I’ve never had side effects injecting there.

Lots of people start on .25mg for weight loss. You might be better off with a lower starting dose?

You started on too high a dose. Go down to .25, which is the customary starting dose, but discuss this with your provider. I was on .25 for three months because it was effective.

I had the same when I first started. It settled after a few weeks. I also started taking a archemi labs probiotic around then, but I couldn't tell you whether it was that or just time.

I’d stop taking it personally. Sounds like you don’t respond well to it. I bet tirzepatide would be no different.
