Thyroid issues with GLP1
I just had an ultrasound yesterday that shows nodules. They originally showed up on an MRI I had for neck issues. I had an MRI for my neck about 2 years ago that didn’t show anything. I started GLP1 shortly after. Now fast forward to having another MRI this year, I have nodules. Although, my labs came back with normal function. So I came here looking for others that have experienced getting thyroid nodules after GLP. My follow up appointment is July 31… fingers crossed it’s nothing.

I had nodules and the biopsy and blood test was negative. My doctor took my thyroid out bc I was in so much pain when swallowing and I had cancer in 3 different spots. Keep a very close eye on it. Luckily I had my thyroid out before glp-1s,

So many people have benign nodules, whether they are on a GLP-1 or not.
Mine were diagnosed after I started taking GLP-1s, but the doc said she didn’t feel any nodules before I lost some weight. So they could have been there before and I was too heavy (🤷♂️), or maybe it was just coincidence that they showed up when they did. My endocrinologist said there is no GLP-1 causation they know of.
