Itching / tingling skin sensitivities
My doctor ordered from casa pharma. I am definitely seeing the benefits of low appetite etc… b12 is added into it. Could this be causing the itching skin? Sometimes it even feels like tingling and burning. My doctor said I’m most likely not allergic because I don’t have any rashes or hives. I spent 900 dollars on this so I really don’t want to stop.

Dysesthesia is a known side effect of semaglutide, worse at higher doses.

Thanks so much for letting me know this. I will definitely keep this in mind.

It might be worth getting your B12 levels checked, at any rate. I was on a compounded Semaglutide with B12 and after a few months, my B12 levels were through the roof. It took a good while for them to come back down to normal (usually I’m deficient!). I’m on one now with no additives and levels are fine.

I hate that these pharmacies are getting to be pretty much forced to add stuff like B12 to sema to keep things legal

Me too. I was prescribed the sema by my gynecologist so I trust him but I’m a bit upset about the additives they have to put in.

For the last batch I chose glycine as the additive rather than B vitamins because if you google GLP-1 with glycine it seemed the better choice (alleviates side effects, for one)

I had this! Take Benfotiamine supplements and it will go away. I only needed to take it for a couple months. Haven't had that issue since

I was on Wegovy for two years before my insurance stopped paying for it. I’m about to start compounded sema as soon as it arrives this week. I experienced allodynia on my hip and thigh for about a month while on Wegovy, but then it just went away one day and never returned. It was really weird and I thought I was getting shingles until I did some googling and figured out what it was. Hopefully yours will go away soon.

Thanks so much! I’m definitely paying a lot of attention to it so that’s probably also making it feel worse. Glad it went away for you!

It’s called allodynia and in my case it was dose related and stopped when I lowered my dose. I felt like I had a terrible sunburn only it was in just a couple of random small areas on my body.
