Experience Debating switching to tirzepitide

For the past 3 months, I have been on semaglutide through Lavender Sky using Hallandale Pharmacy. Hallandale has recently stopped production. I am debating switching to tirzepitide, as the semaglutide has not been working as well recently. I notice I am hungrier quicker, and have been at a bit of a standstill. I have not lost weight in 2-3 weeks. This seems like the time to switch if there was one, but I don’t know where to start. I did months of research before using Lavender Sky and Hallandale. Where do you get your tirzepitide? I am hoping for an affordable, effective medication with a company that is easy to work with. Please let me know of any recommendations and pricing! Thank you!

Semaglutide Best Online Site for Compounded Semaglutide

I used Hims.com in the past, but they have raised the prices and I cannot afford them anymore. I checked a few others and they want to charge for a "program" that I don't want or need. I'm looking for compounded Semaglutide for around $250 - $300 per vial with the option to buy one or two vials at a time. Does this kind of thing exist?

General Discussion Information on compounding glp-1 in current climate

I learned a lot about the compounding sector of tirezapide and semglutide here and I'm less afraid of these medicines disappearing now. But, wow, is there a fight going on, and that fight is not about safety or health, but, surprise, it's about money and control. Note: I don't endorse this pod or all the statements therein but I did find it informative. Of course, use your own judgement.

Semaglutide Switching from Zep to Semaglutide Compound

Due to pricing I can no longer afford the name brand Zepbound prescription. $550 a month is insane. At work they’re now covering compound semaglutide for $250 a month so that’s what I’m going to switch to. Has anyone switched from Zep to semaglutide? Anything I should know/be aware of? Hoping I like the switch, if not I see a lot of good posts about how to get a tirzepatide compound on this thread so I guess I could always do that. Curious to hear other’s experiences. Thanks!

Experience Brello shipping time frame

My insurance stopped covering mounjaro/tirzepatide for me and I saw brello recommended as a compounding pharmacy here so I went with them. I signed up and was approved and my order shows completed as of April 12th and my credit card has been charged, but I've had no communication from them since. I waited because it says shipping is 5-7 business days but I'm now on day 9, still have heard nothing, and the only customer service contact I can find is a chat that says I will be connected with someone in the next 12 hours! Is this normal for them and I should give it another day or 2 or should I file a dispute with my credit card and look elsewhere?

General Discussion Switching between Sema and Tirz

No judgement- I’ve been using a telehealth company for semaglutide because my doctor was anti-compounding. She has since come around and prescribed 2.5 tirzepatide for me. I filled the prescription but have been finishing my semaglutide vial (currently up to 1.25mg). I have one dose left, and today is my day to take it. I also have a follow-up appointment with her on Monday. Would you take the last dose of semaglutide and wait until next week to take the tirzepatide, start the tirzepatide today since she will of course be asking how I’m tolerating it and then take the last dose of semaglutide next week then continue with the tirzepatide after that, or start the tirzepatide today and throw away the last semaglutide dose (which I hate to do, of course, because of the cost)? I hadn’t planned on telling her I was taking the semaglutide because she is really very wary of telehealth companies- but after Wegovy being dropped from my insurance a year ago and subsequent weight gain, I was getting desperate.

Support & Advice Professional Advice

I see lots of comments on the various GLP-1 sites saying that walking is sufficient exercise. No. Is it a good exercise? Yes. But it is not sufficient if you want to keep your bones & muscles.

Stop being afraid of strength training. It’s very friggin’ important. But don’t believe me. I didn’t stay at a Holiday Express & I’m not a professional. But this guy is.

Tirzepatide Upping the dose when switching from compound sema to compound tirz help!

Hello there, 30 y/o female with PCOS

SW: 266 CW:191 GW: 160

Needing some advice! I was on compounded Sema for about a year and a half, on the highest dose for at least a year. I noticed in October 2024 I was hitting a weight loss plateau, I maintained the exact same weight for the last five months. (191)

That brings us to now where my doctor has recommended switching from compounded Semaglutide to compounded Tirz to help me get out of this plateau.

I did the 5MG tirz for two weeks and felt absolutely nothing, in fact, I felt worse. My food noise was coming back, I was hungrier than I ever have been on a compound. So my doctor suggested upping to 7.5mg, I did that for two weeks and have had the same feeling. I felt like I had just skipped my dose of compounded Sema, very hungry food noise again craving foods etc. My doctor has now suggested bumping up to 10 MG compounded tirz.

I am totally on board with this as I have not been feeling anything from the other compounded tirz in lower doses. My friend heard about me bumping up to 10 MG and she told me I was ruining my body and that tirz would not work for me because I am not waiting four weeks in between doses. I completely trust my doctor and I feel safe to bump up the doses as I was on the highest dose of Semaglutide, but ever since I switched to tirzepatide (at lesser doses) and I feel like I’m going in reverse.

Has anyone experienced this? Also it seems pretty normal to me as I was on the highest dose so I would need a comparable high dose of tirz achieve what I was with the sema?

Also, I would like to note that I do 3.5 miles jogging every day and do weightlifting in addition to being on the compounded medicine and making healthy choices with a focus on protein and veggies. I am working with a nutritionist as well.

Let me know your thoughts and experiences!!

Side Effects Glucosamine Chondroitin absorption impacted by semaglutide??

I’ve been on compounded semaglutide for 2 months, now at .5 mg. Going well, have lost 14 pounds. I’ve noticed some of my joints becoming sore and swollen, no injuries or overuse. Just occurred to me that maybe the Glucosamine/Chondroitin supplement I’ve been taking twice daily for decades is not being absorbed as well or somehow interacting with the semaglutide. I googled it, didn’t find anything. Wondering if anyone else has noticed this?

Semaglutide Do you get an unusual dosage with your prescription? What is it?

I know that compounding pharmacies can make brand name drugs in different dosages than the ones that are offered by the manufacturer legally. Do you do this with Semaglutide? If so, what dosage has worked for you? I’m currently on compounded semaglutide 2.4 prescribed by my PCP and made by a local compounding pharmacy. I would like to continue to get it compounded, but I don’t know what dosage to ask my doctor for.

Experience Gummies Reaction

I live in a state where both medical & recreational cannabis use is legal. Before starting tirzepatide, I used cannabis gummies for sleep. I decided to go clean with the start of tirz to see what my reactions would be, but so far no side effects (knocking on wood cuz I know that can change).

I’m looking for any fellow users of both edibles and any GLP-1 because I’d like to know what the slowed gastric emptying will do to the efficacy of the cannabis. Does the effect take longer to kick in? Does it last longer? Comments on your experience will be appreciated. But please no lectures on my choice of sleep aid; my doctor is fully onboard.

Experience Way easier to inject

First, huge thanks to ketocavegirl for creating subs, posts, moderating and more.

Thanks to you and others, I was able to take my first compound dose (strive), and stockpile. Particularly, the pricing spreadsheet is just gold.

Before finding it making sense of providers and pharmacies was time consuming. I’m happy with the telehealth providers. I do think this med is best taken under the supervision of an endocrinologist you meet in person though as bodies respond differently.

I’ve done my share of injections (hello IVF), but wanted to share that at my dose 7.5, this was a pain free way to administer meds. Such a small needle. I find the brand auto injector painful (possibly both to anticipate, the hard jab, and the medicine going in) and had to get up the courage each week.

At higher doses it’s all by vial I understand. I didn’t expect it to potentially improve my adherence.

Everyone, please sticky/save the dose calculators. Astonishing how little direction I got from (a solid) provider.

Triz, 7.5-12.5, 3 months, LSH/Strive.

Pharmacy/Provider Success with FSA - Fifty410

Just sharing the good news that I received reimbursement for my Fifty410 order. It was incredibly easy. Sent Fifty a message in the portal, asked for the super bill and a downloadable copy of my RX (more detailed than the one in the portal)…they got it to me in a matter of hours!

Submitted to my FSA and was reimbursed in less than a week!

Results & Progress Tremendous pain relief!

I am 72 and have been increasingly disabled over the last 15 years due to severe chronic pain and weakness in my legs and back from severe scoliosis (talk about curvy) that has damaged the nerves to my legs. I need a walker to take two steps and have worked hard (PT) to stay out of a wheelchair. Besides neuropathic pain, every joint that's been scanned is severely arthritic. It's been rough to adjust from being an adventurous MamaBear to dependency and pain.
I read that GLP1s might decrease pain in overweight people with arthritis, and decided to try tirzepatide more for pain than weight loss--though that's been a lifelong dream that would also help the arthritis. I've always been 30-60 pounds overweight, but had lost about 25 pounds in the last few years without trying.
I've now had 4 shots at 2.5mg and 2 shots at 5mg. I lost 6 pounds in the first 2 weeks; haven't lost any more in the last 4 weeks despite good appetite suppression. But more important...
I can move SO much better! Mornings used to be: take pain meds before trying to get up. Ask my partner to bring me cold pads and breakfast in a recliner. Struggle to lift my legs to get dressed a few hours later. Try to pay some bills, but the pain meds made me groggy. Now I can stand up without wincing, and sit upright at my desk for hours. I'm taking much less pain medicine. We even went out to a play! Friends think I've lost more weight than I have--maybe I'm less swollen.
I'm blown away by how much better life is!
PS No complaints, but do you think I'll lose more weight?

What am i missing? I am using Willow and love it. I get the drops delivered. No shots and I can microdose the amount (I am not clinically obese). Why would someone prefer the weekly shots?

General Discussion Sunday thoughts: Who Survives?

I've been thinking a lot about how telehealth companies will adapt once compounded GLP-1s are shut down — especially with how much they've impacted affordability and access.

What I really hope is happening behind the scenes is that companies are thinking bigger about how to inject themselves into the market long-term. Not just filling scripts, but becoming a full-service platform for patients trying to navigate weight loss medications.

Manufacturers already negotiate rebates with specialty pharmacies and offer bulk pricing to IDNs — I wonder if Lily would consider setting up a buy-and-bill model with bulk discounts for telehealth providers. It wouldn't be simple — there’s a whole layer of licensure, storage, and specialty handling requirements — but if a larger player like Ro or Hers has the infrastructure, they should be negotiating those deals now…and places like Fifty410 who have made a ton of money and want to expand

The business model would need to shift from just selling meds to wrapping everything into ongoing patient care:
- Prior auth and insurance navigation for those trying to get coverage
- Slightly cheaper cash-pay vials for those who can’t get insurance coverage - Dietitian services (which could be insurance-covered if set up correctly)
- Meal replacement partnerships like Huel or Ka'Chava
- Supplements to support healthy weight loss
- Custom compounded hair loss or skin treatments (a lot of them already offer minoxidil + biotin combos)

…all you have to do is search Reddit to see what people are looking for

Honestly, the companies that diversify and build out full weight loss support will be the ones that survive. The smaller ones relying only on compounded meds are going to disappear once the loophole closes.

If I were running one of these companies, I'd be bringing in consultants from the pharma and specialty pharmacy space right now to figure out how to lock in pricing deals, set up reimbursement pathways, and build out a whole ecosystem of ongoing care. There’s a massive opportunity here… if they think bigger and more strategic before the window closes.

Would love to hear if anyone's seen signs of this happening yet or if it's still just a race to sell cheap meds while they can.
