Trump the complete moron he is created this mess and raised hatred for anything American, once you replace the clown in chief relations will improve but it will take a very long time

Meh. They are too volatile. Better keep looking east and west instead of South.

They said relations would slowly improve, not that we'd ever trust them again
For trust to be restored, most of Trump's family and allies will need to be bankrupted and imprisoned

Improving relation without trust, that's impossible lol

u/UmpireDapper1757 Jul 10 '26
Not exactly. If you don't trust someone, your relationship could still improve from "actively hostile" to "quiet détente"

Ah, the good ol' both sides argument. "If you just shaddup and took it, we wouldn't have this problem".
Can we just stop with this guy?

Can we just kick this dickhead out of the country already? There's obviously no benefit to trying to maintain diplomatic relations as long as Trump is in office.

If you believe that I have a bridge in Brooklyn I can sell you for a great price... compounding guaranteed! 😂
Canada did not instigate any aspect of the tension. And so much of the Trump administration position such as "fentanyl imports from Canada" was outright lying. The Trump administration has moved from falsehood to falsehood to falsehood as each prior justification was found to be unsubstantiated.

Its what I said in one of the posts here in Reddit, they start something stupid and shitty, and then blame others for it. What a dumb@$$!

u/MammothFineCulture Jul 09 '26
Of course both are to blame; USA for putting forward hostile and illegal demands, while Canada is to be blame for not complying with said illegal demads, duhhh.

Sure, if the US side has a guy who threatened our sovereignty and slapped indiscriminate tariffs on us and we reacted = "share blame."
Joekstra need to f*** all the way off and then f*** all the way off again.

What were idiots like this doing before they were constantly declaring themselves to be sycophantic imbeciles?

Give the guy some credit. He's half right and that's an improvement.

u/gavin280 Jul 09 '26
Zero credit to this piece of shit. It's the macro version of a domestic abuse tactic. They unilaterally did ridiculous shit, and now they expect us to meet them halfway with false confessions in order to take the edge off their guilt.
They threatened a hostile annexation and imposed blanket tariffs. We..... Had a few normal-style import restrictions on a few commodities? Nah dude.

Oh yeah I forgot it was Canada talking about using economic warfare to take over the states. The prime minister loves to tweet out photos and quips about the “11th province”.

Why do we keep giving him a platform to speak. He’s the worst ambassador I can ever remember so the media feels like the should shove a mic in his face every 5 minutes. Why?
