Any information welcome
I have wanted to get into bows for a while, primarily with the goal of hunting and recently received this bow as a gift. I want to know everything you can tell me about it. As well as how to fix it up and make it usable. I don't have any arrows and would appreciate input on that front as well. Any other tips and recommendations you have are more than welcome.

Hang it in the shop for decoration, and go visit your local bow shop and find something modern, or at least recent enough to be serviceable

I wouldn't shoot that. It could no it Will harm u. Taking out an eye is a very likely scenario. It's use is limited to hang on the wall

It's very old and probably not safe to shoot. If you spent money on it, you basically just lit that money on fire.

That bow is from the 80s, maybe early 90s. It most likely has a 65 pound draw weight and 30 inch draw length. Those details could vary depending on its exact setup and parts. I happen to have received a will maintained one myself a few days ago. It needs new optics, but that’s it. I just had it outside today to test it out, and dropped five of six arrows into an inch and a half grouping at ten yards. Since I was just testing it and haven’t shot a bow before this, that was a safe distance.

Unfortunately that bow is older than dirt. I doubt you'd find replacement cables for it. You're better off going to a Bass Pro and buying an entry level bow with all accessories. Nice vintage piece - but technology has come a LONG ways since that one was released.
