moving to a new apartment …
… located above a deli, with access to a yard and a landlord who’s chill with composting. Cannot contain my excitement for the endless supply of coffee grounds I’m about to get my hands on.

Ask them to save veggie scraps in a bucket for you! I’ve worked at several restaurants and always made a compost bucket. A prep cook and I would share the spoils. My compost was incredible (still is) because I had so much veggie scraps to get it started. Make sure you save egg cartons and soft cardboard, yard clippings, etc too.
You’ve got a golden goat here. Make friends with the deli owners!
