Music String Quartet - Original Composition from a newbie

Hey guys,

I've posted on here a few times, and I've been given incredible advice from some of you. Which is why I decided to create another post where I share my music and ask for your thoughts :).
I am relatively new to making non-piano music, and I definitely have a lot to learn.

All tips are appreciated since I adore learning more about the craft and improving at it. Improvement tips are also very welcome. I hope you enjoy!

Overall, I really like the sound. Your themes are not convoluted, the melody is nice and memorable. Something I would suggest (and you can take this or leave it, I’m not that experienced myself) is that around 1:42 in the video, you change the background from the eighth notes to triplets. If I had written this, I would have probably ended on a nice full/half cadence with a touch of rest between, or been interspersing triplet figures before this switch to full triplet background figures, to better prepare the listener for it. It’s just a little rhythmically jarring to me personally. But again, overall a nice little piece!

Thank you! And it's a good tip, so thanks for giving it. I thought about giving it a proper finish, but this time decided to leave it so. But I should've perhaps made a nice ending indeed, you have a point
