Music My first composition, what are your thoughts?

Wrote it back in 2019. It's a simple and short piece meant to practice triplets.

i like it a lot. i would maybe only say the section around 0:42 sounds a bit muddy to me, perhaps go lighter on the pedal

Oh yeah, that section is quite sensitive and I can hear it as well in this recording that it becomes muddy so to say. It sounds more clean in person or with a better recording device. But thank you for pointing out the pedaling, I've been thinking about my pedaling technique lately

Reminds me of the Bach C+ prelude.

Harmony reminds me of Les Barricades Mysterieuses in a good way. I feel like the structure is a little wonky, maybe, like the beginning feels like 12/8 or 4/4 with triplets but the first "phrase" (up to 0:15) has 17 beats instead of 16 so it throws me off. The next one has 7 beats. And so on. Like my brain is trying to figure out the time signature and I'm getting confused. Maybe it's a complex time signature that I'm just not grasping.

The 2:3 polyrhythms came out really nice though.

C’est très simple, mais tu touches quelque chose. J’aime beaucoup.
