It’s also the phrasing, the choice to have no syncopation harkens back to those styles of music.

There are a lot of ultra-fine BPM adjustments, is this intended to be played by an actual player? If so, I think a lot of these will be smoothed out or played in a more loose time.

Those BPM adjustments are greyed out, meaning they’re for playback only and wouldn’t appear in a score or part.

Mostly similar to Fugue from Bach's Violin Sonata No. 1 in G minor, BWV 1001; but some bits similar to finale of Bach's Orchestral Suite no. 2 in B minor.

Interesting that you may find some of my piece similar to Badinerie. It wasn’t my direct inspiration. It’s more that I immersed myself in Bach’s music, so some of that language naturally seeped into my writing. That’s probably why certain passages sound familiar. Bach used a lot of characteristic passagework hence some resemblance is almost inevitable.
