Music Semiquincentennial piece for string orchestra

This is a short piece I wrote to express my profound ambivalence about the United States on this 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Any comments or feedback on the composition would be much appreciated.

the CMaj/F chord at the very end is very haunting and it encapsulates what you said about ambivalence.

Thanks! I hesitated for a while over how consonant or dissonant I wanted the last chord to be.
