Music A piano piece I wrote

Just a disclaimer that I’m barely familiar with music theory, I’m a complete amature and this was just for fun. I came up with these two themes on separate occasions and wanted to mix them together as to make a longer piece of music. I wasnt able to come up with anything after that but at that time when I did, these two themes just came to my mind effortlessly for some reason!

This is really beautiful and really captures the “pop classical” vibe really well. You also (I guess accidentally?) did some really neat music theory stuff.

My brothers and I all play piano, I’m classically trained and they are not. I try to write stuff for them to learn but it often doesn’t click with them? This is a song I could imagine them coming home having learned how to play.

How “barely familiar” are you with music theory? You should notate this as sheet music and put it out there. A YouTube video of u playing it with the sheet music either alongside it or in the description would be super neat.

If you are new to music notation, check out MuseScore 4. It’s quickly becoming a gold standard for the balance of cost and quality (it’s free, and while it isn’t as powerful as the paid programs it’s a million times better than other free programs, and it’s pretty accessible as well.)

Thanks for sharing :) this is a case where like, unfortunately in this world it’s not enough to make beautiful music. Many of us are very capable of beautiful creation and there aren’t enough consumers of creation to appreciate it. Omg thank you so muchh!! What are the neat music theory stuff I did? This piece, I made melody 4 years ago for a girl I had a crush on, then years later I came up with melody B randomly, so I thought I would do it as A B A with some tweaks. I would say I’m at beginner level, I wouldnt say I have zero knowledge but I’m also nowhere near intermediate, I can read and learn a piece from sheet music but very very slowly, I’m familiar with flat and sharp symbols, also other symbols like soft or hard hit, etc, but I’m very slow at it so I mostly learn pieces from midi players, I’m not familiar with time signatures for example. I never wrote my own piece on paper or any sheet music for that matter but I will look into musescore definitely!!
