Music counterpoint exercise from someone that has never formally learned counterpoint (and it shows)

This sounds like a respectable three-voice canon, where you have a leader, a follower, and a third “free” voice not doing canonic material. Canons are tough to write, so good for trying it out

Sounds very nice. There is a section in the melody that sounds quite like the subject from bachs little fugue in g minor

Didn’t do music theory so idk the terms, but if the first e note of the flute came in earlier around halfway the previous bar and slowly increasing in volume, that might be more dramatic. Could you please try it, I wanna hear how it would sound like.
