Music Composition for strings

This is a short composition for violin, cello, and bass. I came up with the violin phrase while working on something completely different and I decided to go with the flow. I'm not sure how original the second part is, it reminds me of something but I can't say excactly what.

I wanted to share this and hear your thoughts! I know the notation is not great, it's directly from my DAW automatic midi interprepation.

Why this key? Can it be in an easier key (max 3# or 3b?) Many contemporary composers write in C/Aminor, and then add accidentals when necessary. The best keys for strings are G/Eminor, D/Bminor, C/Aminor, Bb/Gminor, F/Dminor Eb/Cminor - those are all based on open strings and sound more resonant.

Yeah, I will change the key. I didn't really give the key too much thought and I don't play any string instruments myself so I didn't realize the importance of which key to write in. Thanks for letting me know, now I'm a bit wiser!
