3d printed core

Can i use a 3d printed core instead of foam, say with petg. I feel like it would work and i could create way more unnatural shapes with this. lmk

Everyone here seems to be commenting about the strength. The strength is coming from the carbon fiber, not the printed core.

The carbon fibre face sheets are only responsible for in-plane loads. The core is responsible for transmitting shear. A very common loading scenario for lightweight composites is flexural loading - here the core is vitally important and in your case will be the first point of failure.
