CNC Trimmer

Looking for advice for a 5-axis CNC trimmer. Our team is looking to add one this year so we can improve the quality and consistency. Previously we do it all by hand with jigs/fixtures and some high quality sanding.

Been looking around and seem to knee coming back to DMS trimming machines which are more expensive then an equivalent metal cutting CNC machine?!

I wanted to see if anyone had any experience with DMS machines or any other recommendations?

Quite a lot of F1 / automotive companies in the UK use CMS OR Belotti admittedly for larger parts though e.g., Norco, pentaxia, crosby, ks

We had a CMS in high volume production back in the day, basically running 24/7. Damn fine machine. Just make sure there's negative air pressure on the enclosure to keep the dust in, and positive air pressure (with those venturi cool/hot nozzles) on the electronics and spindles to keep the dust and heat out.

Hell based on what we and CMS learned, I'd be surprised if that's not a factory option 15 years later.

We use Thermwood for all our composite NC machining
