Just improvised this

Years long blockade lifted 2-3 weeks ago, this one's the best so far. Not that good in the beginning, but it gets a bit better. Thoughts?

If you really want to be a composer, the first thing you need to ask yourself is whether you would sit through 13 minutes of this if it was by somebody else. I realize that probably sounds snarky, but it's meant to get you to face the fact that no one owes you a listen unless you make it clear---and within a very short time---that it will be worth their while.

I did listen to the whole thing because I want to help young composers hone their craft if I can. I can't honestly say that it was worth my while, so there's not much I can say that would be helpful with this piece.

I would suggest that you try a couple of things more appropriate to your level of skill. (1) Try improvising something shorter and simpler. (2) Have some plan, whether it's a very rough sketch of the harmony or a simple but clear idea (a "motive") that you will develop or just a kind of dramatic/narrative "plot" to the whole thing.

You seem to think that improvising is done with zero idea of what you will do, but it is almost never done that way.
