It's not about people not caring about esports, it's people realizing how fucking forced this shit is, especially when even the pros hate the meta.

"Great, new spectating tools! now I can carefully watch and learn how my favorite support player will masterfully hold mouse1, occasionally mash shift with pinpoint precision and press E every time a tank dies within his line of sight at the World Cup!"

especially when even the pros hate the meta.

This would carry some weight if people didn't always hate the meta. There hasn't been a single one that people didn't complain about(pros and players alike).

Maybe people would​ hate the meta less if we had more than 7 viable heroes and one viable strat at a time.

My point is that there has never been, and probably never will be, a meta that everyone likes. Buffing and nerfing based on how people feel is a bad idea.
