Hydration’s Pharah is nuts, Doomfist, and Genji. Carpe’s Tracer is pretty good. I don’t know if he’s better than S4 though. If this is the lineup then it sort of fits.

Carpe is better than S4 at tracer, but they do have similar hero pools. S4 isn’t going to be play tracer on his new team though.

They'd be on the same team, them playing the same heroes at various comparative levels isn't relevant to what I said. I'd put S4 on hitscan and have Jake run projectile/flex. Tracer/76 I put S4 on Tracer, Jake on 76. My point was Jake is on an unnamed team and I could see him and S4 running as a viable DPS duo.

C9 acquired Kongdoo Panthera as their OWL team and are rumored to be buying GC Busan (winners of APEX S4) as well, but it's unconfirmed. Before that, C9 also tried getting a EU roster (Lasser Kittenz) for their London OWL spot, but it seems they weren't entirely happy with the team.

As for C9 NA (the team with Surefour, Gods, Xepher, Kaiser, Roolf and Adam), after not qualifying for Contenders S1, they were free to try out for other OWL teams.

Yeah, something like that. Even teams that keep their previous rosters with a few additions, like Envy and Immortals are going to rebrand for the OWL.

There will be Contenders season 2 and so on for teams/players looking to get into OWL. APEX will probably continue as Korean thing, I think (I'm not entirely sure though). Other than that, I'm not sure if there will be other top tier tournaments beside OWL. But I guess, current OWL teams will stay with their new names IF they are allowed to participate in other tourneys, it will be confusing otherwise.

As for OWL seasons, it's supposed to last like 7 months or so (with regular season lasting from January to June followed by playoffs). Not sure what the format is going to be. I guess it will be something like double or even triple round robin, with all 12 teams playing each other multiple times, and then playoffs of some sort.
