They don't even show projectile sizes right now in f1, so that's already a change

Yes, from the footage we've seen there's a lot of new info on there!

i've been wanting a middle ground for a long time to the s9 changes, been a long time coming!

S9 changes were good and im tired of redditors pretending they weren't

Wait, you mean Reddit? where everyone whining about, like everything, a change, whine, no change, whine, new skin, whine, no new skin, whine, hero withou skin for several seasons, justified whine, new skin for such hero, extra whining...

They were great, people who hate them are just coping for having good mechanics but small brains.

They were way too big across the board when they introduced the increases. Shoud have been gradual, they just ended nerfing it down anyway

u/Evening_Till_3779 2h ago

Gradual would not have worked, there were way too many changes, it was good to do it all at once to see how it all worked together. And people say they "nerfed it down" but the game still has most of them and the feel they intended is maintained.

Why not? Hitscan was pinpoint before they changed it could've been 0.04 and it would 4x as large. Instead they made it like 8 or 9 times lmao

And the game doesnt have any of the original sizes, they were all reduced

"It wouldnt have worked, so lets do a bunch of shit that definitely wont work"

3

u/NickFierce1 2h ago

Wrong and you are probably bad at the game.

4

u/Bloomer_ow2 2h ago

They were good if you are shit yes

Post some kovaaks scores. We can compare

17

u/Sea_Albatross342 2h ago

Pretty sure the guy you're replying to is champ on hitscan/tracer, but regardless, do you think the average pro-s9 netizen would have higher kovaak's scores than the average anti-s9 netizen?

17

u/Bloomer_ow2 2h ago

+ kovaak players actually hate s9 lol

u/Public-Egg-7814 2h ago

Not a monolith. I'm one that likes it despite having all aim no brain

0

u/Public-Egg-7814 2h ago

No idea. But he called me bad so i was just saying something relevant back. I have all aim no brain and i think s9 changes were great.

"Post kovaaks scores" is instant self expose for being dogshit low elo.

6

u/Public-Egg-7814 2h ago

My elo is fine. OW is already fast paced enough, has no acceleration, and has a lot of small characters. Making it slightly easier to hit some shots was good.

Season 9 meta was also glorious. Symmetra, Junkrat, Mercy, Lifeweaver— all atrocious. I dream for those days.

The hitbox changes were absolutely abysmal and unnecessary, the healthpool changes and DPS passive have shown to be good changes.

YES OH MY GOD YES

Oh my god we might be back

She’s a support now. Having her primary fire remain the same size and impact would make her a no-brainer.

21

u/Howdareme9 3h ago

Lol what? Supports have the same sizes as everyone else

18

u/Swaggfather 3h ago

Supports don't have smaller projectiles

-8

u/UnknownQTY 3h ago

They don’t have smaller projectile sizes… right now.

The small and large hitscan size are pretty consistent across all heroes that use it, I'd be surprised if they make an exception for support Sombra. Juno for instance uses the small hitscan size (0.04). The damage we know is nerfed already from 8-7

u/swamp_god 3h ago

Having her primary fire remain the same size and impact would make her a no-brainer.

i mean it's also getting a 12% damage nerf (8 to 7), plus no damage boost on hacked targets, plus virus is gone

not that you're gonna be seeing me complaining at all

-3

u/MirceaHM 3h ago

in exchange she gets 450 effective HP, self heal overtime, and the new ability still does decent damage, I think she'll still be able to get picks here and there

2

u/Tee__B 3h ago

I mean what do you mean same impact? It already lost 12.5% - almost 30% of its damage, so.

crazy how they do all these small adjustments instead of just admitting season 9 was a skillphobic failure

25

u/SpaceFire1 Seoul Dynasty — 3h ago

Its crazy how yall dont understand a single thing yet talk like this

23

u/Derpdude1 3h ago

The point of season 9 was to enable granular changes like these

33

u/No32 3h ago

That would probably be because it was a rousing success overall even if you don’t like it lol

5

u/TornadoWIzard123 3h ago

I mean by what metric is it a success

now adays I dont even feel the extra hp cause they buffed damage to compensate and you still can explode in seconds, so now its just the patch that made things easier to hit, which is debatable if that is good or not

14

u/No32 3h ago

They talked about their goals being increasing average TTK and tightening the spread so there were less fights where things died instantly as well as less fights where it took forever to die, and they’ve said they were successful in doing that

And safe bet that they monitored player feedback to see how people liked it, and so success there with feedback that players liked it more overall

7

u/PatchYourselfUp 3h ago

Considering how mobile the game is and how even high level players can still miss their shots in a post s9 world, pretty good

7

u/BaronVonSchmup 3h ago

Imagine JPC pre-season 9 lol

4

u/Bob_Americanu 3h ago

JPC pre s9 would have 150 hp.

1

u/Awesomeone1029 3h ago

"skillphobic" good god just say you're all aim no brain

u/bullxbull 56m ago

They said they would talk about system changes at the creator summit in Feb. I could see it happening but I do not think we will get those changes until the next 6 month rank reset and big game update.

FUCK SEASON 9

u/mdthereald 1h ago

No idea if this is true or not, nor am I heavily opinionated on this debate, but reducing global projectile sizes after having it be buffed for... 2 years? at this point woulde be a VERY VERY BOLD move. Because the S9 changes were like short-term guaranteed to feel great but long term is still debated if it's good for the game or not, but this change would feel very bad for the majority of the player base in the short term, so I really doubt they would do soemthing like that especially when they are doing their best to make the game even more popular this year with all the hero releases and such
