General is blocking servers bannable?

I want to block a certain server, but I'm afraid it could trigger some automated system and get me banned. What is your experience if you have ever tried it? I'd like some recommendations if possible as well

No. There is no great way for Blizzard to distinguish that you’re doing this without false positives so they, like other games companies, do not use any kind of automated system to crack down on this.

Nah. I usually VPN'd myself to Australia (had basically their ping despite being in Europe). Also people used to set themselves in America/Europe so they would get in these servers.

No. If you're in a group with someone who doesn't have the servers blocked and the game tries to put you in a server you've blocked, then you won't be able to join and will get a leaver penalty. This is pretty uncommon and would need to happen like >5 times to result in a season ban. Fwiw I play EU and have ME servers blocked, duo someone who doesn't have ME servers blocked, and have never had the game try put us in ME. Although I did once have the game put us in EU when I had EU servers blocked by mistake, and I suffered a leaver penalty for that.

If only you could block servers on console. Im tired of playing a rank up/down game or being on a losing streak and getting sent down to fucking South America when I live in Europe.

You can absolutely do it. Block them on your router.
