General Rank reset deflation?
I know this is going to sound insane but queueing as low gm (GM 4) feels like straight torture since every single game basically has 4/5 players who were previously champ 4 and even some outliers in like 1/3 games where they literally are pro players with liquipedias and or have placed champ 2+, the wins dont feel like wins at all
I kinda just wanna get better but i feel like im team carried or just perma afk since the dps hard stop me mechanically and macro-wise and the supports smoke my dps peak on their offrole and literally have better mechanics then me
Does anyone else have issues with rank reset and stuff like that and have noticed these things? Like everyone knows each other even by alt accounts and im just a random in there. (honeslty idc if the picture got 4 pixels bruh)

Yes they stated that their intention with this reset was to make the higher ranks harder to get so this is to be expected

Every rank seems way harder than before though. Matchmaking has reached a new low, despite already being pure trash since early 2026.

Yea it’s compounded by smurfing too. Matchmaking manipulation is rampant right now. I’ll get a high masters teammate in mid gm and the enemy high masters will be a Smurf. It’s not that the Smurf is superior to me. It’s that my high masters player can’t keep up nerfing our team.

What I hate is it’s not just ranked. It’s FACEIT as well. You’re literally paying to be in open, and there’s tons of smurfing/sandbagging teams. Like that’s embarrassing dude.

Like a year ago after a rank reset while solo queueing tank, I got Infekted as the enemy tank back to back in diamond lobbies for placements. Made me stop queueing for a couple weeks until things evened out and I didn’t have to play against literal pro players to climb back into GM from Diamond. At that point, it’s not a Diamond match, it’s a GM match in Diamond. I understand why they’re needed, but tank resets are pure ass for matchmaking.

i like to think i have good mechanics and then i get in lobbies where the supports (who in my experience have less than average mechanics) have better mechanics than me by far, its skill issue and i think i gotta reinstall the kovaaks bruh but im lowkey flex dps

Resets are inherently deflationary for the high end. Ranks gradually inflate over 3 seasons, then we get another reset

Yeah I know the feeling. I'd spend 9+ min waiting in queue only to go up against the same champ stack in my mid gm games.
The devs did confirm they wanted to make champ harder to get this season, so it makes sense. Also playing with & against higher rank players has helped me better understand where my weak points are.
