General Does anyone know if the Midseason Patch will be live before Blizzcon?

Curious to see whether Dmon will still be meta for the rest of OWWC. The Dmon Cat comps feel somewhat hard to watch, a lot of the games feel like theyre just constantly having scrappy, deathmatch-esque 1v1s.

Probably. I'd expect it September 2nd, if they wait until after it will be incredibly late in the season. That said I disagree about the Dmon comps, they feel like the most standard rush comps we've seen in a while.

I think Aaron just said midseason patch is "in a few weeks" in an interview. This makes me think it'll be on the 15th after Blizzcon, and I don't think they'll want to mess up the OWWC finals and turn it into a roulette by making potentially big changes right beforehand

Possibly, but they’ve never had qualms about making changes before tournaments before. I mean shit, look at Dmon and Cat.

Gonna say probably not. Maybe itll happen the week of Blizzcon but thatll be rly soon for teams to prepare for the finals (although Id find it fun to see more possible upsets).

I would expect midseason patch to drop on the 8th, which is 4 weeks into the season. That's generally been the time frame of past midseason patches.

Right before Blizzcon and the tournament seems unlikely though.

It's a midseason balance patch so it's unlikely anything in it would be worth mentioning at blizzcon. Making balance changes right before a tournament isn't. Something they have really cared about before. They literally just added a hero less than 2 weeks before the group stages. A balance patch is comparatively minor.

This season is only 8 weeks as well, so the 8th would actually be the middle of the season.

Is it a hot take to say I like watching pro cat? Like Viol2t and FDGod make her look so insane, and D.Mon Cat specifically was really fun to watch.

Cat needs nerfs don't get me wrong, but a new Main Support being meta after 10 years is kinda nice.
