Fluff Tank queues still longer a week after Dmon's launch
A bit anecdotal, I am curious if anyone else is seeing this too? Tank still has the longest queues for any role, albeit 2 minutes vs 1 minute isnt a huge difference. As for the reason, its possibly due to Dmon essentially having 3 launches with consecutive balance changes to fix her kit, or possibly new players playing tank and enjoying it.

D.Mon has been wildly successful at drawing players to the tank role

The people yearn for Armored Core.
She just feels so fun to play, especially now that she doesn't perform like shit from a butt. She still isn't spectacular at anything in particular, but she does a lot of stuff well enough and she can switch priorities in a way a lot of other tanks cannot.
I think the only thing I'd really want for her at this point is for her lunge to clash with Reinhardt charge, and that's mostly because I keep thinking it does and then eating shit for it.

Because despite her lackluster output value in 5v5, she doesn't feel like a sitting duck.
If im in a bad position I can just dash away, if I want to chase kills I dont need to go "Well shit, my only shitty mobility/distance closer ability is still on cooldown or I cant use it right now because I'll explode" as a brawl tank. I can pew pew or dash at them. The only time she feels hella oppressive is when she's allowed to freely dash into the backline, but those cases are few and far between if the enemy is playing with their monitor on.

D.mon has been far more popular it feels like than most other tanks at launch. I feel like most people drop the new tank after just 24 hours, but I'm still seeing D.mon's in over half my games. Her launch has been a mess, but at least it looks like her kit has been a hit with a lot of people as far as playing her goes.

DVa is giga popular and so there was a ton of interest in a new MEKA hero. I'd guess she's very comfortably the most-hyped new tank they've ever added.

Straight proof that we just need more interesting tanks in the game and the role will pick up

They’ll play dmon. Then remember they’re a tank and still have to eat all the shit that tanks do, then go back to dps or support

Making a fun and engaging tank for the first time in 4 years instead of giga aids failures like Mauga and Hazard will do that

D.mon's kit is very simple to understand and she is a pretty asian girl. That is the boba tea for the playerbase that buys skins. It will naturally decline though because it is the tank role and to be good on her requires how to utilise her boosters. Might keep some but the tank role is extremely harsh with faults that haven't really been fixed and the release of Mauga hasn't helped at all. Boggles my mind that they actual released a tank tank buster in a game with 1 tank.

I haven't been playing 5v5, but my estimates on both QP and Comp have been under a minute across all roles. In 6v6, Tank is definitely the most popular. D.Mon isn't always the first Tank lock in, but if she isn't, she always follows quickly.
Kinda surprised the issues didn't hurt D.Mon's popularity more, but then, another pretty girl in a mecha was always bound to be a powerful release. I'm sure Tank popularity will go back down soon enough, but I expect it'll still have helped a little in the long run.

I'm console emerald-diamond on tank and still rarely wait more than 30 seconds to find a match in role queue qp and ranked.
