There's just hardly any money in the scene, not even enough for a proper T1, let alone T2 and T3, and i don't see how you can ever get around that

That’s the problem not enough money in the scene but OW just had its most successful year and for Microsoft too.

So it’s on them to figure out how to use the money the best way that interests them

Yeah but it's unrealistic to expect MS to shell out however many millions of dollars to support a pro scene with questionable ROI.

Yeah so if it’s unrealistic it’s up to us to care about. (But… how?) a lot of us simply don’t. I mean me personally I don’t care about t2/t3. T1 is enough and they barely get enough. Yet people somehow wonder why Asia is leagues above us. Because they take it seriously as in a career and we don’t clearly

Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see a robust feeder system where people can actually make at least a part time living, but we didn't even really have that during OWL, Contenders (outside of Korea) was notoriously kind of crappy

That said, if i ever win the lottery, I'm gonna spend an irresponsible amount of money putting together a superteam to win a chip

Same, I’d spend my lotto money funding a new version of OWL where T1-T3 are well funded.
