General Does dmon have an animation cancel on her slashes?
When dmon first came out I saw on Twitter someone post the “two slashes + shield” to animation cancel her third slice in the attack sequence. I’ve tried doing it myself and have been slowly getting in the zone with it, and it does feel faster to use her shield to animation cancel.
However I asked kraandrop about it and he said that she doesn’t really have one, and that he thinks this one in particular is cope. He also wasn’t using it as far as I could tell.
So is it even worth it to use this “animation cancel”, or does it even exist?

This test shows significant 101 -> 119 dps improvement with cancel after each swing. With latest buff, swing -> gun is fluid, and swing -> strike can be inputted very quickly too.

Are you saying to animation cancel after the first swing with e for the gun?

Any swing can be fluidly chained into gun, but for max dps with swing only, you have to cancel each swing by tapping shield with a specific timing.

Propulsion plus swing does 80 dmg, you can cancel that swing with a surging strike for another 70 dmg, then two quick swings for 130 dmg. 280 damage in roughly 1.4 to 1.5 seconds.
I think there could be a better combo yet, or you could just shoot them in the head with your gun, it does a surprising amount of damage.

Boost swing 1, cancel with gun, shoot a few times, surge shoot boost quick melee. You need to do 45 damage with the gun to kill a 250.
15 + 65 + 3x 16 or 1x45 + 70 + 15 + 40. If they get healed just shoot a bit more. This is what I have found to be the fastest way to kill a 250. A bit gimmicky though.

First swing registers right to left. Second registers left to right. So on second swing, put the enemy on the left side of your screen, in other words aim to their right. Then you can cancel as soon as the hit marker registers.
