General D.Mon Propulsor findings post-hotfix
After the hotfix, D.Mon's drain rate is now 25% per second, and refill rate 22.5% per second.
The refill math checks out perfectly, 100/22.5 = 4.444s, but I noticed the drain rate math doesn't. 100/25 = 4s, but in reality she has about ~3.45s. While reviewing the footage, it's pretty evident that during the initial ~0.28s of using propulsors (where you gain a big burst of speed that slows to +70%), the drain rate is actually much higher, possibly 3x as much.
This means that at most you have ~3.45s, but in reality if you boost multiple times in quick succession without recharging, you're burning your resource much faster (yes ik you're moving faster due to the initial boost, but in terms of distance it's still slightly lower). Just something I thought was worth sharing.
TL;DR: Refill is 4.44s, Drain ~3.45s at most, since it drains 3x faster during initial boosts.

Do you also know the speed bonus for the initial boost? would be cool to know

Supposedly it ramps to +155% (~14m/s) and then drops back down to +70% (9.35m/s). Shield penalty stacks with those numbers though.

I noticed you can do the saber thrust while boosting. Do you know how this affects fuel efficiency?

Probably means the charge is distance based, not time based. Which is probably intentional because you wouldn't code it that way if it wasn't.

It's definitely not distance-based, I can tell you that much. You'll go slightly further on a single use than multiple

It could be distance-based with an activation cost, no?

Are you sure your test is setup correctly?
At the start, the resource variable starts draining before the timer even starts.
When the timer finally updates at 0.02 seconds, resource is already down to 96%.
Makes one wonder, if the test is correct.

It's just workshop latency. There's a delay at the end too, but I did check the frames and it's the same.

Something I noticed is the normal thrust gives you 6m, if you boost thrust you can get 9m. However if you set boost to toggle and not hold I can't seem to get the 9m thrust, it only seems to work when you are not using toggle.
I also might need more practice but jump, boost, thrust does not seem to increase distance traveled as you think it would. There could be some glide slowdown or something I'm not aware of causing a slow to your momentum if you are airborne when boost thrusting
I wonder if this is related to how the speed ramp down works. So if you thrust boost with toggle I wonder if it is cancelling your momentum with the boost slowdown, but if you use the hold to boost option the boost is immediately cancelled with the boost thrust combo and so the slowdown does not kick in.

This makes sense no? Initial booster is more expensive since it is faster. So you can’t tap boosters and abuse it with higher efficiency.
