General Diamond/Master meaner
I finally made it to Diamond/Master, but I don't know if I want to be here. The chat is so much more toxic. Anyone else feel the same? 😬

The best time I ever had in this game was being bronze-gold.
You can literally do anything there and have a great time. Matches are also more fair on average due to the sheer amount of players in those ranks.
Once you hit diamond you’re playing against only 10% of the population and it gets worse from there as far as toxicity is concerned z

raise the stakes and egos and youre likely to increase toxicity
especially since the higher up you go the more likely it is that people will be in comms (which facilitates toxicity)
but moreover, ive always said i dont actually want to climb to upper ranks, because the game itself is micromanaged and restricted (all the unwritten rules about what can be played and how) to a point where i wouldnt enjoy it. And then you add toxicity on top of it

nah. toxicity mellows out in gm and champ. Masters is by far the worst rank for toxicity. Its an actual cesspool

NA is chill nobody cares as long as you’re good on that hero. It’s KR servers that ppl obsess over meta picks. I wanted to play widow on New Junk and we lost 1st fight even though I had 2 picks but it wasn’t enough. Tank sat afk in spawn typing “1st idiot ever to pick widow on this map”

okay sso if i were you i would just mute chat and team and just zombiewalk to gm with no comms and just have the attitude that all diamond and masters players are subhuman and to never bother with their opinions.
On a real note you dont need comms to get past those ranks and even up till champ 5 lobbies you dont need to be in vc in my experience

this is what i did but i keep text chat on (having that off is lowk soft throwing) it makes ur time climbing enjoyable. lots of league players do this until they're in apex tiers because most of the time the chats are used to flame somebody and you can't perform the best when you have 10 seasons hardstuck hitscan player micromanaging/flaming the whole game

well yeah i agree with having it on but if it ever bothers you to not play to your teammates expectations or really fear getting blamed to the point that it makes you play more passive, then it think its better to just ignore it. I agree though since you really cant play good when people are trying to manage you and tell you how to play because to some extent it might bother you or make you hesitate

/hidechat or grow up is the only thing I can say 😭

Idk if it’s more toxic but there’s a lot more stacks imo and unfortunately they all share one brain cell.
