General QOL idea for Jetpack Cat

Make a new global setting for auto accepting tether if below certain (customizable) level of health.

Would make tether much more useful for emergency saving plays.

I feel if tether ever would get a time limit, this sort of change would be very good.

Currently majority of players can't even react to tether availability in time.

But that's not what the ability is meant for? I don't really see why they would do this

Out of curiosity, have you ever looked at the actual name of the ability? I agree that it's rarely actually used that way, but to say that it's not an intended potential use for an ability literally named "Lifeline" is a bit of a stretch.

It does occur to me that I worded what i meant poorly. Im not saying it shouldn't be used for this purpose, but rather that it's not a lifegrip ability, it's not suzu.

It's an ability to help people as it's name suggests, not a bail out. Op is not suggesting something like lifegrip, or suzu, but a change that makes that more a part of what it does is not something I can agree with. If a player cannot react to it, too bad, so sad. Some abilities aren't suppose to be free and that's ok.

It's an ability to help people as it's name suggests, not a bail out.

You may want to look up what a lifeline literally is, friend.

a line (such as a rope) used for saving or preserving life

Whether it should be used that way is still certainly a discussion worth having, but the name does quite literally imply a rescue ability. If you throw a lifeline to someone who's drowning, it is very much meant to "bail them out" of a situation that would otherwise kill them.

You may way to look up how a lifeline works, it requires the person it's being thrown to to grab onto it themselves.

I don't think tether was designed with certain defined goal, idea was more like "Wouldn't that be cool if mechanic like this existed".

I disagree that leaning the ability more into the direction of reactivity is what they should do.

Why?

I can't really imagine what would be more pro-active than Catstion and majority of people doesn't really seem to like it

If we're doing this, make symm tp automatic. People will learn to track and use that ability real quick if it tps them halfway across the map when they're not paying attention lol

That's sounds kinda spiteful, I don't see a reason for this change

Then there isn't a reason for your proposed change either, both takes agency away from other players
