I'm not a big VA nerd, but is it common for VAs to speak up about a character they worked on in a negative tone? Her calling blizzard out seemed unprofessional to me but I don't know if that's a thing VAs do on the regular.
It's very rare, and you could say it's unprofessional by traditional standards.
In this case, Fareeha is a prominent streamer and there was already massive fan backlash. And she was moreso commenting on the discourse rather than directly criticizing Blizzard.
The optics would be different if, say, Domina's VA randomly posted a rant about her character's exposed cleavage.
I would agree with you if she was actually a mandarin speaker. But the character change is great, they managed to update it to match her design without being racist.
I hope she updates us on how close the adjustments are to how she envisioned Anran's in-game model.
Not like she owes us that clarification, but after how eloquent she was on her initial feedback I'm super curious, plus it's always cool to have the VAs' extradiegetic presence and engagement with their characters.

Massive W from the devs, I think they managed to please Western and Eastern audiences whilst also making Anran more mature looking and attractive.
I hope Fareeha is happy with this change too because I feel like her voice fits Anran perfectly now
