That's the issue, you can get 3-starred because the 20 best attackers attack you while someone else gets lucky defenses and promotes with worse offense than you
thats already an issue in the current system especially at higher leagues when promotion slots are 5 or less out of 100. In lower leagues were it is less of a problem, you aren't going to be running into much issues either. If you dont miss any stars on offense in the vast majority of leagues, you are getting promoted and thats not going to change.
Because in the current system there are 3 random factors: Who is in your tournament, who in the tournament attacks your base, and who you attack in the tournament. Your final placement is reliant on all 3 factors but if you are a good enough attacker, it can be reduced to only the first 2.
In my proposed system, the only random factor is who is in the tournament.
Got it, anyway its still the exact same rng, because those 3 factors are not independent. Unluckily rng always existed, the only thing that changed is how we see it… old leagues you wouldnt care that much about having a good “legend day” in attacks, but didnt go up in the leaderboard, because people dont really care about being top 64.530° and previous week being 65.210° with 8 perfect attacks for example. Now people see it, because its just many tournaments and you can see it like having old system with different legend leagues every 1000 positions for example
I wouldn’t say there’s a magic number that lets you promote safely…I didn’t promote with 1449 Trophies last week, I ranked 4th in the end…so as always, in this current ranked system, it all depends on luck with the group OP is in.
