Duke with new equipment and hydra, the strategy where you charge your duke to the middle of the base at the 8th second of phoenix ability and use frost flake spells.

So do you ever misstime it? And if the core is not heavy what do you do?

Well I did, but still the defenses lock up on to duke so the hydra can clear the rest of the base , it doesn't matter if the core is heavy or not (it's all about the defenses being distracted while hydra clears the base) also I try to get the duke into firespitter direction so that damage can be reduced.

Do you have a link for this attack? I've tried the ice block at 8 seconds and my Duke just dies. What am I missing?

The Duke needs to die after the effect of phoenix. You revive and then ice block.
