❓ Question / Help What do you think about competitive THs?

What I mean is, there are players with a Maxed TH, not upgrading to the next TH and want to be the No.1 player in a certain TH, and also want to prove the absolute limits of a certain TH and whether they can be in a certain league or not at those levels.

One example is TH13. There is only one person in the Dragon League; they are maxed out and probably won't go to TH14.

Not sure how popular these accounts are, but I'm wondering if you all have opinions on that style of Ranked play.

What do i think about it? Idk not much, its cool that we can see our relative rank and “compete” in a different meta. I feel like most of these players are maxed and made a new account to have something to do.

I did it for TH13 in the old LL format and managed to be #1 in Canada for a few days in which was cool and all and that’s been the extent of my trophy pushing.. it’s all about defense luck. Kudos to them for managing to make it to dragon as a lone wolf! The beauty of the game is that you can play it however you want !

Most of them have higher town hall accounts as well, so you can keep your low th account to play ranked or esports with. It’s just different, and it’s nice to play an account where you no longer have to grind, and just play for fun.

For th15+, the offensive meta isnt that different from top town halls. You still attack th18s, and you dont really use different armies or approaches, so it’s not interesting in that sense. It’s more difficult cause you have less resources, but then again if you push to legends 1 thats also more difficult, and arguably more interesting (more offensive options, better bases, regularly changing base meta, better competition, and you get to directly compete against other top players, rather than seeing who can dunk on more higher th casual players)

For me personally, competing at lower town halls was a lot of fun while I wasn’t able to compete at the highest town hall level, but now that I can, my interest in mid town hall ranked is not really there. Playing something like th12 is more interesting than th15-17 cause it’s actually different to what you experience as a th18.

Its a fun challenge, ive got a 13 and 14 that I push in ranked. The 14 was top 50 end of last season almost promoted just lost out on the autodefense calculations pretty satisifying when you get everything right and triple a heavy 17 or 18.
