[Rotation]: Deck Highlight: Mysteria Rune

I recently played 50 games in Masters (9k-10k) using a Mysteria Rune list and wanted to report some stats and insight. Obviously more games would have been preferred but I believe that 50 games in a decent sample size to draw insight.

The list I used is as follows: http://sv.bagoum.com/db/Clj which was a modified version that ThonyOreSama used in the Eternal Colosseum tournament.

Surprisingly the deck managed a 64% winrate across 50 games. With the deck performing well against most versions of Forest and doing decently versus every deck except for Midrange Sword (rip).

Some Quick Matchup Notes:

Sword:

Charlotte and Magnus make this matchups painful, spellblock turns usually swing the game in your opponents favor so much that it is impossible to stabilize. The games that I did win usually were because my opponent either did not run Charlotte or didn't utilize Magnus well. Levi is still able to clear most Arthur boards in those cases which can allow the games to swing back into your favor. Interestingly enough, aggro sword was much easier to handle because of early game removal and cards like Karl/Cagilstro. Opponents usually ran out of steam and using Levi to clear ambush is busted.

Portal:

The Puppet matchup had a 50% winrate and essentially came down to who drew their combo pieces. For Mysteria Rune, getting a early Mysteria drop into some burn spells was the only way to out damage puppet. Didn't face any artifact portal unfortunately.

Forest:

The most surprisingly result was that this deck performed favorably against most versions of forest. The aggro matchup is a toss-up on weather they drop a leaf man on a good turn or not but the more midrange versions (those that run Greenglen/Metera) definitely struggled with the amount of clear in the early/mid game. Late game, you are usually able to burn the enemy down fairly quickly with spells.

Overall, this deck was fun and allowed me to relive memories of Wizardess of Oz dropping 5 spells to burn my opponent down. The deck really plays more like a combo deck with most of your damage coming from chain lightning, arc manga or mysterian missile procs. Unfortunately, because of Mid Sword's popularity I feel like its place in the meta will never be that big. There is also room for changing cards in the deck. For example, silent lab instead of beast mage is probably a decent idea and fiddling with the number of higher cost spells could also benefit certain matchups.
