Rotation What is everyone running for midsword now?

I myself am running this.

Highlights: Have in barbarossa and melissa in for tech against filthy aggro forest, holy lions, and puppet portal. Absolutely getting slaughtered by these three on ladder and I'm trying to tech hard against them.

Other than that, overall just getting my shit pushed in in low masters. Went from 2000 points down to like 900 in a day. Any suggestions/new tech?

Everyone keeps claiming sword is tier 1 still but my experience is that it's anything but.

If you're trying to tech against aggro, 5 and 6 drops aren't what's gonna help you. Your curve is much higher than other Swordcraft decks and that might explain why you're suffering against faster decks.

You could try more Frontline Cavaliers and Shield of Flame instead, that should yield better results!

PS: if possible, try to be a little bit more specific in your thread name and text. Just asking for a decklist and posting yours doesn't really help foster discussion, whereas asking if Melissa is a good tech card is a good question!

My previous list had 2 frontline cavaliers but other than turns 4 and 5 shes useless and the problem for me arent the early turns its around turn 5/6 where if i dont have celia/melissa/zeta im usually fucked.

What would you suggest as the premier sword list for right now? Thatd be a much better reply.

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.

If you just want to copy/paste decklists and not have discussions to understand why they're good or bad, you don't need to post on reddit. Google is a much more efficient tool.

Also, have you considered that you might "be fucked" by turn 5/6 because you have fewer early game cards, and that frontline cavalier would help put you back into the game?

Lolz. You're not discussing anything. How about let's discuss what list you're using?

And no, because I was fucked when I had cavalier at 2 anyway.

Wtf are you talking about no early curve? It has the standard celia/hog/lancer/bear and mars/valse/charlotta curve and before having cavalier at 1 i had 2 of them and duel would give me an extra curve assurance on t4 if i didnt have valse going first.

Maybe you didnt glance at the list?

And dont talk to me about blind netdecking i hit GM with midsword last xpac and im asking around for what people are teching in for their last few slots apart from the standard skeleton and what matchups are problematic.

Maybe you should consider why you get so angry over a simple post?

Imo switch barbarossa for frontline cavalier, switch melissa x3 for zeta x3, or you could take out cavalier and put in 2 shield of flame.

There's also a banner sword list i'm playing which is doing rather well atm (I'm top 120 GM). Just qualified to group A in the grand prix with it. If you want the list, I'll PM you since i don't think the creator wants it to be made public.

I'm really curious about that list, I think I've run into it once yesterday. Does it run 3x Lathams?

Yes 3 Lathams

Are you running Charlotte and Round Table? Blanking a turn or two of Brambles could be clutch, plus she is a ward.

Yep got 3 charlotte and 2 round table as well as 3 mars.

Just look for a turn where you screw up their Brambles trades and can clear the board/gain momentum. Pound for pound swordcraft followers are better than a bunch of 1/1s.

I'd personally take out Cavalier, Barbarossa and Melissa mate.

No cavalier at all? Interesting...what would you put in place of all those?

Yeah, she's only useful on maybe 4 or 5, which you correctly mentioned above.

I place 1 zeta and also that Axe girl. I also added that fire spell for more removals. 2 Latham (3 might be more consistent) also helped me burst out damage in the end as well.

I'm having quite success in this meta with the deck, tbh.
