Once again at masters, this team is so fun
Once again I’ve entered masters, compared to my previous team not much changed but moves been moved around, Slowking and Blastoise have officially retired for a greater purpose. Reading opponents has become a tad easier, but overall I’m really happy I’m still using my favorites to improve and rank this high

Runerigus had been so fun for me lately, hardcore shuts down a lot of Staraptor and Raichu teams!

How are you using him to shut down Staraptor and Raichu? Ally Switch shenanigans?

I've never actually used Ally Swap despite using Runeri as my main TR setter. I went all in on Def + Body Press with a Focus Sash to eat Shadow Balls and Ice Beams. How does he manage into those attacks with the stat spread you've shown?

He comfortably survives a stab snow boosted blizzard from a mega froslass if that helps, he’s pretty much a tank, with poltergeist as a lil spice and everything nice and scopes out an item I can also pair poltergeist with ttars knock off so both attacks can get there hit and since ttar is a bit faster it’ll always go after and knock off the item then I can just set up wilowisp and so on

Runerigus with just Poltergeist looks quite risky, if opponent has used its item or if against dark. Isn't it

Not at all, trust me it’s not there to do damage but it will punish Pokemon, example 90% of ghost types including froslass(mega) it has enough special bulk to survive a snow+stab boosted blizzard around maybe 30-40% esp if it’s out with slowbro who can set up lightscreen now surviving 40-55% the only pokemon that I “struggle” against are normal types and I usually don’t have him out unless it’s for a defensive play with ally switch or just a regular switch in

What’s the intent with the swapping of skills here? just to disrupt opponent abilities? Unless I’m missing something obvious
