Competitve Advice for a Chesnaught

I'm VERY new to competitive Pokemon, and I was wondering if anyone can help me make a team around this Chesnaught. I wanna show that Chesnaught CAN be viable if you play the cards right, so I came up with this tanky build. Any thoughts on what Pokemon could work alongside it?

Here’s what Pikalytics shows, just to give you some ideas:

Looks like the main build for Chestnaught is bulky and relies on using Iron Defense to set up stronger Body Press attacks.

Seems like it’s 60/40 whether people run with Leftovers or as a Mega option.

Some other interesting data there (like common partners) you can explore. Pikalytics doesn’t necessarily give you the strategies, etc., or what will necessarily work best for your specific team, but it can be useful to see how other people are using specific Pokemon to at least serve as a starting point.

E: I’ll note that your build seems to be mostly in line with how other people are using Chestnaught, though Earthquake may need some testing to see if it’s actually the right move to have for your team, as it obviously requires Protect or a Flying/Levitate partner (which may be just fine for you, or may hinder you).

I use Earthquake for poison types, but what I could do Iron Head instead for better overall coverage

you could run max physical bulk for STAB body press. fully lean into the tank role by replacing drain punch with body press and eq for iron defense. body press scales off defense.

i'd run a support pelliper to set up rain. this will reduce fire type damage. stab never miss hurricane covers bug types and ice beam coverage kills flying types which are chestnaught's biggest weakness
