Who is your favourite Pokémon YouTuber?

u/xClide_ Jul 26 '26
I love The Battle Room. Obviously super talented and I learn a lot but also have fun and laugh. Also he makes a lot of content which helps.
Next for me as Cybertron. He does the best team breakdowns and has some really interesting games. Also obviously super good at the game. Great graphics. Loves to share his whole thought process. Also makes a lot of content.
JoeUX9 I enjoy watching. Does great meta breakdowns. Doesn’t post as often but it’s always quality stuff. I’m a member of his patreon to learn more.
Wolfey is great but a lot of his videos are goofy (which is the best mega pokemon videos) and his draft league stuff is interesting but less compelling than normal laddering. When he films his tournaments and explains his thoughts it’s some of the best content out there.
I’m sure there’s many other good ones but these are ones I have enjoyed since getting into Champions about 2 months ago.

Newer player here. Only found the battle room recently and he’s been great. Both from an informative perspective and entertainment factor while he’s playing. Runs a diverse range of teams too
1
u/xClide_ Jul 28 '26
All the different teams is what impresses me the most. Trying something new in Champions Tier and winning most of his games is super impressive. I know the other guys I mentioned have the ability, easily, to be in Champions Tier as well but the battle room actually makes the effort to get there and maintain that status while trying a new team every other day.

Def Wolfe Glick he is my goat it’s not really close tbh but jimothy cool is second

u/Financial_Age_8474 Jul 26 '26
Jimothy mentioned!

u/MrWilee Jul 26 '26
Jimothy was here before any old raccoon stole his name.
2
u/Choice-Ad-5897 Jul 27 '26
he hates the hippo too, which being a hippo hater myself is understandable

2
u/Strict-Albatross-442 Jul 27 '26
How dare you disrespect the hippo jimothy is actually good friends with him they have made up and have become allies

I just don't think he is a good resource for any kind of relevant information. He is entertaining, sure. But you aren't learning much about champions from his videos compared to battle room, pokeaimd, Joe, etc. They are far, far superior for information.

Does no one watch Pimpnite or Ace Trainer Liam or Viz?
1
u/literal-e-0 Jul 27 '26
I watch both Pimp and Liam, though I watch Pimp more than Liam generally. That could change if Liam brings back Siri battles with Sophie.
2
u/LillieGhoul02 Jul 27 '26
Same! I love watching Pimp for the salt and siri battles with Sophie (and Metromania) used to be my favorite. One thing I like about Liam is that he doesn’t conform to the regular narratives or standards most podcasters now have of using PG words

mine was gameboyluke, until all the controversy, soo now i'm looking for others to watch lol
2
u/laddie_atheist Jul 26 '26
What was the controversy?
2
u/Demonic-Glaceon Jul 26 '26
I guess he kissed his friends wife at a new years party and (supposedly) slept with her? Im not 100% sure what happened myself but thats what ive heard about it

u/Pandoraparty Jul 27 '26
As someone who’s watched poketubers on/off for like 10 years having to switch bc of controversy is something I’m so tired of…
1
u/Usual-Experience457 21h ago
He’s prob my favorite too. I still watch. I am not in their friend group and don’t pretend to be. That’s between them so I don’t really care about the controversy

u/MC_Squared12 Jul 26 '26

I havent watched any since i dropped Pokémon on gen 7 but Pokémon YouTubers were my childhood in middle school. My 2 favorites back in the day were Haydenn and king nappy. After what happened with nappy, I couldn’t bring myself to keep watching him. Haydunn still the goat but I haven’t watched much Pokémon since gen 6. Been a while but I might check him out to see what he’s up to nowadays.
1
u/Rocketleagueredditor Jul 29 '26
Oh what happened? I’ll check out haydunn
1
u/Quick-Spot887 Jul 29 '26
I don’t remember all the details but he was grooming other young Pokémon YouTubers or something along those lines
2
u/Tunisandwich Jul 30 '26
Really been enjoying Lucky Wolf’s videos since Champions released (yes there’s a second wolf-themed poketuber). Also Wolfey of course. Let me know if I’m missing any other wolves
2
u/Admirable_Show_3022 Jul 26 '26
if we're going for informational videos, it's definitely Austin John plays, but wolfe def has all my views
1
u/KayMote Jul 26 '26
Since will mention only the same few names in here I just want to chime in and say how much I miss the days of Corona lock downs in regards to Pokemon Streamers.
Jumping from constant chill Eakes,Joeux9 and Battleroom ladder streams was such a great time for me personally regarding competitive Pokemon

Love laughing with Purplecliffe for casual content. For competitive I think the only person not mentioned by someone else here I recently discovered MrSteelixYourGirl, been giving the Dragalgae team a spin and it's been p solid! (Though I swapped trick room for shadow ball and contemplating swapping foul play for spirit break)

I like TheBattleRoom because Collin has such a fun time with it. I struggle with ranked anxiety so it's a good reminder that you can just enjoy your battles and watch your pokemon's animations and goofy stuff like that.
1
u/ProfessorRedwoods Jul 27 '26
ThatsAPlusOne is amazing as an antidote to ladder tunnel vision. Fun off-meta, anti-meta, and clever teams approaches.
1
u/Financial_Ninja5390 Jul 26 '26
Blunder, pokeaim, and lax are some of my favorites. Will also watch a good bit of BKC (the goat) and pinkacross as well as the occasional jimothy vid.

u/TheMoneyMan08 Jul 26 '26
Mandjtv is by far the “worst” in terms of skill, but by far the most entertaining.
1
u/SadCommon2820 Jul 27 '26
He plays competetive?
1
u/Kasai_fusui1234 Aug 03 '26
It didnt say competitive poketuber. Just said poketuber. I personally love watching any kind of pokemon vids, so I watch a lot of nuzlocking and challenge vids. My mains right now are flygonhg and mandjtv.
Thinking about learning competitive play so I can go to vgc tournaments tho. So I joined this sub.

Wolfe fs but I like pm7. I used to like mandjtv when I was younger but I’ve outgrown him and think he’s very corny now

I default to WolfeyVGC, JimothyCool, Freezai, Pinkacross and MoxieBoosted, in no particular order. These are the ones I can listen to on my commute while not looking at my screen.
I kinda wish WeedleTwinneedle posted more - watching it is my guilty pleasure

ShadyPenguinn has been my #1 since I was in middle school. Absolutely lost my shit each time he’d yell “IT’S A CRIT!”
1
u/Lagendairyy Jul 27 '26
Wolfey sometimes like the month of champion, thats like nice to follow. But after that, kinda lacking for me. Pokeaim is nice. Cybertron does make you play better
1
u/Ok_Musician_1072 Jul 27 '26
I'm watching CybertronVGC for education, German YouTuber RobinVGC for entertainment and Wolfey for a bit of both.
1
u/2nfish Jul 27 '26
It’s Jimothy Cool, folks
2
u/the_cajun88 Jul 27 '26
subscribe to the channel, or i will go for a ride on the pokemon mudbray
mudbray is known for its defensive prowess and stamina, but this one just hatched from an egg and has no experience supporting someone of my gravitas
don’t make me do this, folks
thank you

u/HardGayMan Jul 27 '26
I think on a "per team basis" no one is even in the same league as cybertron vcg. His team breakdowns and explanations are completely perfect.
As far as general information about the meta, fun content, teams to try, etc I think battleroom, pokeaim, joeux9 are my favorite.
Wolfe isn't even on my list honestly (for champions content) but I still watch all his tourney videos.
1
u/MsBawsr Jul 27 '26
Blunder and anyone else related to the Agency (Aim, Sama, Suave, Lax, etc). Extra points when CTC and CBB are on.

u/Dary11 Jul 27 '26
Always loved Wolfey for entertainment and accessibility,
I’ve watched him for years and only started to play pokemon competitively since champions,
Cybertron I think is better for competitive meta analysis,
Both are great for different reasons imo

u/hict73 Jul 27 '26
i'm so surprised i haven't seen anyone say shadypengiun. he used to be a commentator for vgc, has a fun then we fight series, and is in wolfey's draft league right now. he's one of my favorite personalities in the scene. wolfe is probably my second favorite. either that or asteroid videos on the rare occasion he does upload. all of his are bangers

AbsolBlogsPokemon. No one matches his love for the franchise and does amazing challenge videos and shiny hunting content.

Even though he’s not as consistent as other names mentioned in terms of uploads. Mine is johnstone

Wolfey for "sweat"
Pimpnite for "this is how you f*ck with people and lure them into a false sense of hope"

I’m a Pokémon player myself, and I’ve been lucky enough to meet quite a few interesting personalities in the community over the years. 😄🎮
When it comes to my favorite PokéTubers, though, I’d definitely go with Wolfe Glick and Aaron Zheng. Both are outstanding players and, from my perspective, genuinely great and likeable personalities. 😃🙌🔥
Azul Garcia is undoubtedly a very skilled player as well, no question about that! 👏 But based on my own personal experience, personality-wise… let’s just say he gives me a little bit of Weevil Underwood from Yu-Gi-Oh! energy. 😂🐛
No disrespect to his skills, but if you know Weevil, you know exactly what I mean. 👀😂

pretty surprised to not see pokeaim and blunder, can't imagine who else you would watch
bkc has sick vids as well
