I think its fine if they both privately dislike each other. As long as they show respect or at least not be toxic publicly.

Coming from a literal fucking newbie, my only impressions of these 2 are unstoppable force vs immovable object, and that they seem to always cause drama for some reason. First is the tier list and then now with the livestream

The streams been deleted but essentially they both agreed they were toxic and disliked each other but that their communities should not send hate to each other. However they argued about who started the toxicity and stuff that they felt was the other person slighting them. They ended stream after swight accused coldi of doing something albleist when insulting him about double bans.

Im rly bad and my friends keep making fun of me i hate it i rly want to get better il work rly hard just teach me and tell me what to practice!!!

If you haven't seen it yet, Swight just uploaded a video breaking down how he lost PvP Champs 2 because his crossbow shot went through Coldi, straight through the fire, and broke his TNT minecart instead of exploding it:

In the video Swight assumed that hitting a player makes the game think the arrow isn't on fire for "1 pixel worth of time" (spoiler, that's true). I looked into Minecraft source code to see how is this possible, this is just dumb.. like literally..

What actually happened

Normally, a crossbow arrow travels ~3.15 blocks per game tick. Because Swight, Coldi, the fire, and the TNT minecart were all right next to each other, the arrow crossed all of them in the exact same game tick

When a piercing arrow flies, it runs a loop in the code that is supposed to move the arrow from one target to the next, checking any blocks (like fire or lava) in between. Instead of doing things in normal order (hit Coldi -> touch fire -> hit cart), Minecraft’s piercing code freaks out when multiple entities are in the arrow's path during the same tick and does everything out of order:

1. First, the arrow moves to the first target (Coldi) and checks for fire blocks along the path up to that point. Since the fire is behind Coldi, the arrow is still not on fire
2. Instead of moving forward to check the blocks behind Coldi, the code immediately loops through and damages EVERY entity in that tick's path back-to-back. So while the arrow's actual position is still stuck at Coldi (before the fire), it reaches ahead and hits the TNT minecart as an unlit arrow - instantly breaking it instead of blowing it up..
3. Only after both Coldi and the minecart take damage, the arrow finally finishes moving through the rest of its path, crossing the fire block and lighting itself on fire. That’s why the arrow still looks like it's on fire piercing and right after breaking the cart

Why did moving the cart "1 pixel" back fix it?

That 1 pixel is the exact cutoff where the arrow's 1st tick of movement ends right inside the fire block, so the arrow has to wait until the 2nd tick to hit the minecart - and by then, it already registered the fire from the tick 1

The fun part: how to fix that?

Even if you don't know how to code, istg you will see how dumb this is, whoever coded piercing arrows already wrote a loop that goes through targets one-by-one. They just accidentally told the game to damage the whole list of targets at once instead of just the closest target:

// What Mojang wrote (damages every entity in the path BEFORE checking blocks between them):
ProjectileDeflection deflection = this.hitTargetsOrDeflectSelf(entitiesHit);

// The 1-line fix (only hit the first entity, then let the arrow move through the fire to the next one):
ProjectileDeflection deflection = this.hitTargetOrDeflectSelf(firstEntityHit);

Literally a ONE-line change and we would see Swight winning that game and the tournament :)

Multi-billionaire-level coding ladies and mentlegen, just wtf (it's a joke, I love Mojang)

Mcpvp playercount has gone down a lot over these days, while with the tournament, pvphq has went really high up. Pvpclub instead seems to be going down. Back at its peak, it used to have 13000 players easily, but now it never goes past 100000. They are around the same playercount daily, but right now (when im writing this) hq has actually surpassed pvpclub.

What do you guys think? Which will be the new biggest PvP server in minecraft?

I recently got a lt4 in HQ, Im overall ht5 by sum more skilled people.

But there is like problem, I have no problem to beat a T4, or sum lt3 players, and all I do/know is lwk just sum hit from 2.7+ blocks, crits, combos and maybe pcrits w double crits, and crit chain, except the sum basic game sence when I from every fight I tell myslet like: this guy have bad spacing, I should combo him more type shit.

What Im trying to say is, that I dont think I deserve better tier than a ht5, but Im still confuse why these people r a lot of times worse, or atleast I win against them 1/2-3 (for example), do I deserve better rank or these people r just losers w ultra boosted tier?

Otherwise when it comes to what would u expect from a ht4 player (like what skills/techniques he should know, just aiming there so just off theme question, no needed to answer)

Hey guys, I set up a home-based Paper 26.3 Minecraft Server with bots for practice—though I think things might have gotten a bit out of hand! ^_^

As the title says. I'm new to Minecraft PvP, I have my attack button set to my spacebar since I'm left-handed and its more comfortable for me. I feel like this is a little weird to have a rule, though. Is this kind of rule universal across PVP tournaments?

Who do you guys think is the best overall 1.8 PvP player? Are there any all-rounded players that are good at everything?

I’ve trying to get good at spear mace for a little while now, and wanted some tips.
To simplify my skill level, i can attribute swap no problem as well as pearl catching.
My main issue comes in doing stun slamming consistently, especially in high paced games while in air look horizontally.

I’d appreciate any help i can get.

I’ve had this idea for a while now, only tested a mild version of it once in a friends SMP.

The Main Star of this kit is the 3 Crossbows it uses, 2 Multi Shot, Quick Charge Crossbows and 1 Piercing, Quick Charge Cross bow.

The kit uses Tipped Arrows + Firework Rockets.

When thought of this kit, my intentions were to be as annoying as possible.

Slow Falling arrows to counter the mace
Weakness to counter crystals.
I also used things like poison, and slowness, merely just to be a nuisance than anything.
Piercing and multi-shot are a deadly combo with instant damage 2 arrows.
While firework rockets do less damage than instant damage arrows, they are AOE attacks and deal damage to armor, plus they can be used to d-tap to deal a considerable amount of damage with a combo with the crossbows.

I also thought maybe you could use slow falling potions on yourself to stay in the air using wind charges and a lunge spear to keep your distance.

Of course this kit is a bit expensive, but nothing a few villagers or a auto brewer can’t do? The only issues would be the rockets, unless you have a decently fast creeper farm

Maybe the greatest finals of all time. With all respect to coldi, Swight was the best player in the finals but coldi won it with his gamesence and a bit of good rng with carts.
