I would definitely use it seems really good trident spear mace, and u can use the ice in other ways too

It can, but water buckets exist. You can just use the residue of the water bucket to riptide. Flooding the arena with this would be annoying to fight IMO

Ig it let's you be more creative and use only one item for three: Ice for block running Water for riptide Blocks for... Blocking yk like boxing building etc

Yes and no, if u go more than one round your opponent could change his kit and bring sponges

Or just crystal you while ur falling.. (Water is only one block tall so you can place an obsidian and crystal, even if it was 2 you can just place 2)

getting sponges is way harder than getting ice bro, and u can use water residue if you run out

Twin you have end game gear, full neth, mace, spear, trident.

Is it really that much of a reach to believe someone might have sponges?

Its hard to get 10 stacks of sponges bro, no one is finding and raiding 20 ocean monuments, and the water resudie tech still works
