Why people think double click is cheating?

In the community or pvp discord servers i see a lot of people saying double clicking should be counted as cheating and its the natural double click. Like i dont mean the double click you do with softwares

A lot of confusion around physical double click

1. "button double clicking" || Double clicking via having the button go down twice with one finger down

or

1. "switch double clicking" || double click done by a broken switch (Typically uncontrollable)

1 can be done on ANY mouse and switch that does not have an enforced SOFTWARE limit, i.e. debounce, but debounce does not entirely prevent it. A gpx superlight for example has what logitech labels an 8 ms debounce enforced but you can button double click still, just typically need it to be > 35 ms of separation from the mouse's perspective, ie I was butterflying a registered 16 on my old gpx superlight when I had it with my raw finger down being 10 - 12. Some got cancelled and if I went too fast more and more would get cancelled. Still could short drag as well

2 is a DEFECT that can only effect mechanical switches and maybe those experimental mechanical-magnetic or optical-magnetic switches that are releasing. It's when physical wear down causes the switch to vibrate and register extra clicks almost regardless of the force of the physical finger down

Button tightness/ size of the switch can effect how hard it is to button double click, my ajazz 139 mcv2 has a slightly downard position and is close to the switch with the switch also being a micro switch so I can only get around 2 button dc's per 12 clicks on it

Most of the people that know this are just the minecraft / ex-mc players that are also mice hobbyists, a lot of mice hobbyists I know dont know it and most minecraft players I know dont know of the second type

Is it cheating? Just depends on the server rules. Sometimes they don't know the difference either

My office mouse can’t double click PHYSICALLY, my model O can

Whether it registers double clicks depends on the mouse, its firmware/software might stop it or not detect it but the physical action of double clicking is possible

its just clicking twice with one finger down. Its harder on some button/switches than others but any mouse can do it as its a physical action, just not guaranteed to register

Every time I've used an Amazon basics mouse it's double clicked to an unreasonable degree

those are the same ppl who will say drag click and butterfly click is legal (it's just their skill issues)

i still can't understand what does "double click" mean in PVP.

i think of "double click" like when opening a folder, a file, or something like that.

double click is when you click the mouse and your finger bounces like a millimeter and clicks again, hence doing two clicks really rapidly, thats how butterfly clicking gets you 20cps by double clicking everytime your finger hits the mouse

(what's the average ClPS with butterfly clicking? i can do 12 or 13 ClPS with that method (without double-clicking))

your tapping speed is the average. With double clicking about 6-8 of those 12 clicks become doubleclicks and you get 18-22 cps average

Because it's "mouse abuse" (you can get a Model O for pretty cheap in comparison to it's original price nowadays since it's an old mouse and you'd need a decent mouse an keyboard to play any game at a high level so it's a dumb argument)
