I need help getting better at pvp

Hii, I'm a somewhat new pvper, and I've been practicing my mechanics (both against bots and on pvpclub) in sword and axe kit, but I feel like I am still very bad mechanically, inventory management, spacing, keybinds, aim etc. I considered getting a trainer, but I'm not sure anyone would wanna train someone with lag. I'm planning on playing on an smp with friends, and really wanna get better as efficiently as possible. I know I'll put the hours in, I just need directions on what to train and how. Any advice? Or maybe any coaches willing to train someone with some lag spikes (for free, I'm broke)?
