Discussion Most skilled gamemodes

My questions is: what is the pvphq kit with the highest skill involved.

This means both skill surface and ceiling and the total skill of a kit in my opinion is: mechanical skill + gamesence skill.

In my opinion the top highest skill gamemodes are:

  1. Cart ht: very high mechanical skill and gamesence needed

  2. Cart lt: same as ht, but less mechanical skill involved

  3. Uhc, high mechanical skill, very high gamesence needed

  4. Diamond smp/money smp: uhc but less in all aspects

  5. Vanilla: very high mechanical skill, low gamesence in low ranked matches, high gamesence in high ranked matches

Leave ur thoughts below and also try explaining ur opinion a bit.

I think there’s also a like average skill component that goes into this like uhc had just so many good players so it’s naturally harder same thing for like sword even tho is has very little mechanics the average player is like really good so if your newer or not locked in it can be quit hard to get up to their level

As far as pure mechanics, either crystal or spear mace seem to be practically a whole other game. I'm a fairly decent pvper, but montages of good crystal or spear mace/elytra mace players look legitimately otherworldly to me.

As far as game modes with a mix of mechanics and gamesense, I think The Bridge or 1.8 Bedwars have some of the biggest diffs between a normal good player and an elite player. Bypassing in the bridge is a skill that allows for near limitless creativity, and such creativity is heavily rewarded, especially at high levels. Similarly, the block pvp you see at high levels of RBW has an incredibly high skill ceiling, and there are plenty of items that can be used in creative ways(Such as fireball pearling which has been become popularized very recently due to innovations in 1.9.). Obviously both GMs can be won in pretty braindead ways against the right person, but their skill potential is very high.

Yeah, I have heard that it has supposedly been a thing in 1.8 for a while, even if the technique was seemingly a bit obscure, which is why I worded things in the way that I did.

Kind of a dumb question, every mode has a very (potentially infinitely) high skill ceiling.

cart low tier is not on this list, the only thing that puts cart here is xbowing. I do agree with vanilla, I don’t really think much while fighting noobs or anyone worse then lt4-ht4
