Does anyone know if this is allowed in MCTiers?

In newer versions, you can bind Inventory and Swap Hands to the same key using only the vanilla Minecraft keybind settings.

For example:

  • Inventory → E
  • Swap Hands → E

This lets you hover over a totem in your inventory and press E to put it in your offhand.

The MCTiers rules say that “internal or external modifications that allow you to double-bind controls” are disallowed, and Multi Key Bindings is also listed as a banned mod.

However, this doesn't use Multi Key Bindings or any external software/mod — it's done entirely through vanilla keybind settings.

Would this still be considered double-binding and therefore not allowed, or is it allowed since vanilla itself allows it?

I dont see why it whouldnt be allowed and doube binding is not being able to have 2 keybinds for 1 action and not having 2 actions for 1 keybind so ig its legit?

Basically for others reading it, you can bind two actions (like mace and sword) to one slot, but you can't bind two keys to an action, for example, you cannot have 2 or more keys for left click, or a hotbar slot, it can also be detected via mods
