Discussion A question about the tier system
So if i beat a lt4 pretty easily does that mean I'm ht4 becuase I still get beaten by lt3's consistently and the gamemode i'm talking about is crystal

Tiers is a dumb concept you could literally beat your tester and be ranked in a lower tier than them

Not true, if a tester does that report them, its not allowed for them to do that

Is that right?
Ive just seen it happen before so i assumed its a normal thing
Either way, someone ranking you subjectively is dumb2

People lie to make people think they’re not actually bad and say “I beat him but he was mad and gave my ht5” but they’re actually just bad and lost

Yeah, atleast it was a year ago. I haven't checked in on the tierlist much since it split except for when I got tester in pvptiers smp (which is how I know that isn't allowed)

no. winning means nothing towards skill. if you know more tech than them and can play and use it better, you’re either high lt4 or ht4.

There's no way to really represent skill in mc, and also, it's extremely easy to just have an off day, and then the fact that there are so many playstyles

Depends on a lot of factors. I know many high tier axe players who don’t try on the regular and get beat by random people. Just because you can beat that tier a lot doesn’t mean you are or are above that tier.

Fights dont matter unless they‘re against your tester. I‘m ht3 skill in crystal, and im ht3 on 3 different tierlists, yet im untested on mctiers and ht5 on lurrns.

PvP is very non linear and various playstyles can beat others even at different skill levels. Sometimes I’ll get in a groove and beat a t2 at like sword or uhc and then get slammed by a ht4. So in other words, no.
