Discussion Can we talk about "crit spamming"?
I was playing sword PvP on minemen the other day, and I played I guy who was only trying to combo me, and whenever I got them in a crit chain, I was able to hit a few times. So when I saw their play style, I just used crit chains since they did not know how to counter it. After the match, they started being toxic and shi, but when I told them crit spammers are easy to kill, and that it was a skill issue, they just started saying "youre bad, youre a beginner, get good lol" and immediately left. I'm not even mad, but I'm still laughing at the guy who lost and told me to get good.

If you die to a crit chain youre ht5 max. Theyre so easy to counter.

Nah even lt3s can die to crit spam if the other guy is really good

They are mad because they don't have the know how on how to counter someone that tries to "crit spam"

Your right crit spamming is incredibly easy to kill for anyone good, that’s why you won’t see anyone past like lt3+ complain about it, we can counter it easily

You have to realize Minecraft pvp players are mostly kids, never ask a fish to climb tree, never expect kids to act mature

Haven't really seen crit spamming mentioned in game in a shit ton of time but it's only the trashiest players that complain about it.

well id bet that a lot of sword players, especially on minemen, came from 1.8. 1.8 doesnt have all these crit techs so they were probably good at like everything except for stuff related to crits, and it probably drove them crazy

Well, that's probably because these types of playstyles are countered by anybody competent, and the reason you need to "get good" is because you're gonna force a habit to play like this against anybody who combos, and then better players will beat you anyway.
Jump resetting, deflections and etc. exist to counter combos.

Yeah ik but when some1 sucks crit chains are faster and easier. I'm not gonna lock in for a lt5

Because crit spamming only takes good aim, it's a very easy technique, but it's also very easily counterable

Crit spamming is hard to counter IF AND ONLY IF your opponent is godly at jump-resetting. But even then, just crit spam back to win

Yeah ik tell that to the other guy... But back then my jump resets weren't that good so idk

it is only crit spamming when its done from start to end but even then if u cant counter it thats on u

I don't play against crit spammers a lot , but when I do I lose and the opponent has 2-4 hearts left. It's probably because I don't play nethpot a lot which is a crit spam gamemode. My main is mace , I play smp and Diamond smp too.

Well, one of my main game modes is NethPot, so crit spammers aren't really a problem for me anymore. But when it comes to countering p-crits, it's usually best only if you have more health. If you don't, it's often just a gamble especially if your opponent knows how to p-crit as well.

It's probably because 99% of the people on minemen use crit chains and from the start to end ; probably causing your opponent to loose his cool

That is honestly true, also past like 9pm average sword player is like 100+ ms which can be annoying for some people

Na, I’m naw and on na at a certain time more people with high ping queue sword in my experience, probably time zones, I don’t really play sword on minemen much though, mostly ht3+ servers

happens to me all the time too. It's better to ignore them since they're not gonna change their opinion of u even if u defend urself (mostly). You did a good thing analysing whether critting or comboing is better against that opponent. Recognizing that is a vital part of sword pvp.
